Palace Ghost Luidschi

Exploring the individual rooms with the little ghost of the palace is a very special experience for the little visitors. Luidschi not only shows the children his home, but also tells stories that are not meant for the ears of adults.

Knights and Noblewomen

In the Knights' Hall of the palace, the late Middle Ages come to life: Armour on horseback and medieval weapons point to the martial arts and customs of an era that is often glorified and sometimes still misunderstood. Prejudices are cleared up here. What it meant to be born as a son or daughter of the nobility is vividly explained.
Afterwards, each child creates his or her own coat of arms and receives a knighthood in a final ceremony in the Knights' Hall.

This is how the Prince and Princess lived

What did aristocratic children wear, play, eat and learn in the 18th century? Boys and girls explore this question in the interactive guided tour through the salons of Erbach Palace.
Dressed in princesses' dresses and tailcoats, the young guests discover the pleasure garden and the palace rooms and gain an insight into everyday life at the Erbach court in a playful way.
The crowning glory is the festively laid cake table, where learned table manners can be put to the test.

Arts and crafts in the museum workshop

This course includes a tour of the German Ivory Museum with a museum quiz as well as explanations of the material and tools traditionally used in working with ivory. Afterwards, all participants will make their own individual pendant from half a tagua nut, the vegetable ivory substitute, under the guidance of a master ivory carver.

The Schöllenbach Altarpiece

Tour de Franz

This interactive guided tour follows in the footsteps of the founding father of the Count's Collections, Count Francis I zu Erbach-Erbach.
Starting at the Count's monument on the market square, the young visitors go on a journey through the Age of Enlightenment with the help of clues from scrolls and solve various tasks and riddles.

When it gets dark in Erbach Palace, we take visitors on a very special journey and explore the mysterious side of the palace.
As darkness falls, everything appears different than during the day and the shadows on the walls merge with the works of art and furniture. Many a precious detail that would otherwise remain hidden flashes in the beam of the torch and reveals interesting stories.
